Dr. Ousman Bajinka is a microbiologist, researcher, and Senior Lecturer at the University of The Gambia. He holds a Ph.D. in Microbiology from Central South University, China, and an M.S. from Ege University, Turkey. His research focuses on respiratory virology (RSV, SARS-CoV-2), predictive preventive personalized medicine (3PM), and immuno-oncology. Dr. Bajinka has over 80 publications and has received prestigious awards including the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation Travel Award and the ASM Future Leaders Mentoring Fellowship. He serves as ASM Country Ambassador to The Gambia and Country Representative for the Africa Bioethics Network. Fluent in five languages, he is committed to advancing biomedical education and proactive healthcare in Africa.
