Mary Cole has more than 30 years of nursing experience within the University of Rochester Medical System. She is currently the Infection Control Specialist /Project Manager at the Highlands at Brighton while also serving as an adjunct clinical instructor for the Wegmans School of Nursing at St John Fisher University
Mary is actively involved with APIC, the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology, through service on the local chapter board and the national member services committee. She has also been involved in various ad hoc projects with the University of Rochester Infectious Disease Vaccine Clinic, the CDC, the emerging infections program, APIC, and CBIC (Certification Board of Infection Control). She is actively involved in bringing research initiatives and advancing technology in long-term care settings through collaboration with professional societies and industry.
