Dr. Isaac Ssewanyana is a Director of Laboratory Services at the Uganda National Health Laboratory and Diagnostic Services. He holds a Ph.D. in Immunology of Infections and Tropical Diseases from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, UK. He had done extensive research on HIV and malaria. His current research pursuit is to investigate why immunity to malaria is acquired very slowly after hundreds of infections and seemingly short lives and discover the biosignatures of malaria immunity.
