3rd Edition of Infectious Diseases World Conference 2026

Scientific Sessions

Tuberculosis and Respiratory Infections

The Tuberculosis and Respiratory Infections session at IDWC 2026 will focus on the global impact of respiratory diseases. Experts in the field will discuss patterns of transmission and the extent of tuberculosis and related diseases worldwide. In addition, the session will include several challenges that many clinicians face when diagnosing and treating respiratory illnesses accurately. There will be opportunities for attendees to discuss strategies for preventing and controlling these diseases through case studies that provide clinical insight into the management of individual patients. Furthermore, this session will help attendees better understand the progression of disease in their patients and support healthcare systems worldwide.

Discussions surrounding drug-resistant tuberculosis and new types of respiratory infections will take place at the conference. The researchers will present their findings regarding treatment obstacles and the different types of resistance to drug therapies. IDWC 2026 will foster new approaches to diagnostics and therapeutics, among other things. Session members will have the opportunity to discuss innovations in rapid testing technologies. Additionally, the session will present various examples of how a team-based care approach benefits quality patient care. New treatment regimens will be reviewed, and the development of new drugs will be evaluated, as this type of innovation improves patient outcomes and reduces overall mortality rates. Each of these innovations supports science and collaboration among scientists working in the field.

The following topics will also be reviewed in this session at IDWC 2026: Drug-Resistant Tuberculosis and New Types of Respiratory Infections; Global Initiatives to Eliminate Tuberculosis; Public Health Programs and Strategies for Early Detection and Treatment Compliance; and Promoting Collaboration Between Government and Private Sector Organizations. Moreover, discussions on funding sources and allocation mechanisms at the end of this session, so that attendees will have a complete knowledge base from which to proceed with future disease prevention initiatives.
